Another achievement of strategic importance for Cellock Ltd with the undertaking of the contract for the Digital Transformation of the services of the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Shipping

The Deputy Ministry of Shipping is proceeding immediately with its full Digital Transformation, through the CSC consortium comprised of the companies Cellock Ltd, SignalGenerix Ltd and Computer Resources International (Luxemburg) S.A. With the signing of the binding contract that took place on August 5th, 2022, after the completion of the relevant tendering procedure, the Deputy Ministry of Shipping will be digitally transformed from the ground up, through funding from the EU under its Recovery and Resilience Plan.

With Cyprus boasting the 3rd largest fleet in Europe and the 11th largest fleet globally, this project is a milestone for our country, holds a strategic importance which is reflected in the Strategic Vision for Cyprus Shipping “SEA Change 2030”, and it more specifically relates to the implementation of Action No. 13.

“Today, we are taking an important step forward in the efforts we are making to further strengthen the efficiency of the Deputy Ministry, by creating the framework for more direct and quality service. The full digitization of the services of the Deputy Ministry is on its way and soon we will be able to operate in a paperless environment, which will form a stronger basis to shape the one-stop-shipping-shop framework, an ongoing demand by the shipping industry”, stated the Deputy Minister of Shipping, Mr. Vassilis Demetriadis.

The relevant processes for the implementation of the project, is fully aligned with the broader mission of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, which has as its broader goal the general digitization of the services provided by the Public Sector. The contracted consortium is expected to immediately begin the preparation and planning of the implementation of this project.
